Intelligent, autonomous, adaptive.
Multiscale Space Systems is developing a modular autonomous reentry system for ESPA-class satellites. It takes responsibility for the most demanding phase of a mission, the return from orbit through atmospheric reentry, and flies it autonomously, keeping the vehicle inside a safe, controlled corridor from deorbit burn to descent.
Autonomous reentry control
Manages the full return envelope (deorbit, entry interface, peak heating, and descent) without continuous ground intervention.
Precision and predictability
Holds the vehicle to a controlled trajectory so operators can plan return location and timing with confidence.
Safety-bounded by design
Built to certification-minded standards, with fault-safe failover so the system degrades predictably rather than catastrophically.
Modular and integrable
Delivered as software with adaptive hardware elements that integrate with existing small-satellite platforms.
Our core methods (how the system senses, estimates, and controls the vehicle through reentry) are proprietary.
StageMultiscale Space Systems is an early-stage deep-tech company. The reentry control system is in active simulation and prototype development, validated against high-fidelity flight-environment models ahead of hardware demonstration.
